Been fighting with the new set of Safety Camera Updates for my TT Go 700 but to no good effect. New update files will not install but TomTom Home manages to delete the existing Safety Camera POI file on the TT before that error message pops up! Arrghh!
Able to Restore deleted files from Backup but still annoying
Here is text of question I sent to TT this afternoon:
"Got 75 UK & Western Europe Safety Camera POI updates this morning via TomTom Home. Downloaded Ok onto my PC but when I attempt to install them get the following messages for all, first one in the list for example being
Cannot install this item:
Safety Camera AT TomTom (Blitzer at 100 tomtom)
This file is included with the item but should not be there:
Blitzer_AT_100_Tomtom (2)c
Sadly the update manages to delete the old file on the TomTom before giving this message. Fortunately had made a Backup before attempting the update but no doubt some others will not have.
Thus stuck with out of date Safety Camera POI's, unable to update and attempting to do so delets the existing POI files on the Tom Tom
Please fix updates ASAP and advise!"
Anybody else experinced this?
