Towbar Advice

Hi,

I'm looking for some towbar advice for my E 280 CDI. The main use will be to hold a bike carrier so simple single electrics only. Assume that a towbar plus dedicated electrics are the way to go - any recommendations on what makes are good /bad would be greatly appreciated.

The car has Parktronic will this require a dealer software update? If so any idea of cost?

I've always used Towequipe for towbars I've fitted, and have always got excellent service and advice. I pesonally prefer Westfalia towbars, fit first time every time and seem very well engineered. Worth giving them a phone and see what they say.

The factory-fit removable towbars on my last 2 vehicles have been Westfalia - top quality.

Yep we have a Westfalia removable towbar too. I suspect that any of the big name brands would be fine. Personally I prefer removable tow bars, although they are a little more expensive to buy/fit.

Whereabouts are you? Someone may be able to suggest a fitter in your area.
