E270 CDI "03" PLATE
Loss of power intermitent fault not showing on display car goes into limp mode and does not rev past 60 mph..very scary as i found out last week lane three M5..
Had a diagnostic and it showed mass air meter and turbo not working fully..actuator sticking....jamming..

Can anybody help with advice about replacing turbo/actuator or do i replace mass air flow as well..it appears pricey or can anybody offer sensible place to get replacement do i go the mega money route with original or what about refurb unit?
:dk:

Replace the air flow meter, don't use a cheap ebay one.

This may be the cause of the turbo issue also

MAF is the first place to start and you want an OEM one, not a cheepo chinese copy.

The actuator cannot be bought, if the MAF does not work you will need a new turbo, you can buy Garret turbo's from Euro, GSF etc.

Many thanks for replies
I have changed turbo and maf still the same !
Now I have been told the exhaust is blocked?
Can anybody clarify if this happens and can it be cleaned
As the bill is getting huge now!!!

Sorry maf didnt sort it (as long as the new one wasnt off ebay) ............easy to check for blocked exhaust (cat converters are known to block up) just disconnect the exhaust at the manifold and drive the car to see if power is restored, it will be a bit noisy but other than that, no harm done.
