Hi All
First time on here, i have a 2002 ML500 (52 plate, W163). The question is i have an entertainment pack fitted to the car that was a professional install (Braybrooks), this consists of rear headrest mounted screens, DVD player, playstation and somewhere a TV Tuner??!!??. The question is does anyone have any ideas as to where on an install a TV tuner would be located??? I think its an Alpine one as the remote is Alpine (as is the rest of the install). I have obviously contacted Braybrooks for the location though they do (understandably) seem reluctant to tell me. the tuner is an analog one and i want to swap out for a digital one. Any ideas folks!!??!

Thanks

I had my Mb TV tuner fitted under the passenger seat, with DVD multichanger under the drivers seat. not sure if there would be room behind the glove box, . The only othre location might be where the CD changer would live RH rear driver side over wheel arch

Thanks guys, the 'under seat' option would be out as the DVD player is under the drivers seat and the Bose sub-woof is under the passenger, also i have the CD changer in the right rear holder over the wheel arch....

Nope, not there. Going to try a new approach....What if i buy a mulimedia adaptor, then put a digital TV receiver through it into the Comand 2.0 unit. May also swap out the Playstation for an X-Box 360 whilst im at it......

A TV tuner allows one to receive signals on one’s television, and thus receive different channels. It converts signals into pictures and sounds. The oldest type of TV tuner was simply the dial type used in order to change channels. Sometimes in order to get certain cable channels or digital cable, one needs a special box purchased or borrowed from a cable company.
Care is required when purchasing a TV tuner card or an exterior TV tuner. Not all tuners will work with all computer systems. Some are specifically designed for Macs or PCs, and many require additional software in order to view images. They may also require a certain amount of memory to run TV on your computer.

Good question CameraFodder. I think its because they want me to drive up there and then them sell me a new Digital unit. I mailed them a few times asking the location after we had a good conversation around the general fit. They failed to respond to any mails after i said i didnt want to travel up to them......

AJ I think I'd be giving them another call. As they say up here 'put yer foot down with a firm hand'! :D
