Visited a client today who owns a TVR Cerbera <swoon> and he took me for a blast around Worsley.
OH - MY - GOD!!! What an astonishing car. Brutal, stunning acceleration, brakes, roadholding ... just fantastic. I've never been in a car that could accelerate so fast, we went 0-100-0 in ... god, I don't know I was too busy holding on to the seat!!
And the noise! Deep low burbling at low revs, building up to an ethereal wailing before "pop-pop-poping" on the over-run as he came off the accelerator.
I've driven Ferraris before (328, 355) and will always be a Ferrari-head, but the TVR just had so much more power. And his is only a 4.2! The 4.5 must be <insert favourite superlative> !
For those that don't know, this is a Cerbera:
Someone commented the other day that cars can't be sexy; Sir, what a load of b*&^$ks! If you don't find that sexy, you are officially brain-dead!
Must ... calm ... down ...
Cheers
