1.What is the correct Torque specification for the Bolts that affix the Vacuum
Pump to the Timing Cover on OM602 + OM 603 engines?

2.What is the "Modification" ("For cost reasons") referred to in the FSM ?

[We can find a reference to a section number for the Vacuum Pump on a W126
617.951 BUT even in there, NO TORQUE INFORMATION]
Pierburg (the Manufacturer) will provide no info and defaults to MB.

Thank You so Very Much!

Figures that come to mind for that area--timing case to crankcase are
10Nm for the M6 Bolts and 25Nm for the M8s but I can quote no specifics sorry.

There is an oblique mention of "installation of vane cell pump (BARLUK)" at one point in the text which is maybe the modification you are talking about?
