i have one of the later 107 SL's and i appreciate that these are subject to much better rust protection, however i am keen on renewing this with wax oil. is a steam clean of the underside and wheel arches essential, or will a 'good brush down' (as been quoted for) suffice in terms of preparation. i would rather spend more if in the long term a good steam clean will result in better longevity. also other than the obvious whats the difference between the clear and black wax oil?
