Few days ago I noticed that some spider decided to plot his web on my dashboard.

Not a biggy, went for the cloth to get this cleaned only to realise, it happened behind the glass on the main dial.

I must say, I have always thought these are fairly sealed units and have never experienced such thing ever before. Not just in a merc - ever!

Anyone experienced anything like this??

It obviously went in the to catch the fly........now you know what to do :p

Seriously......sooooooo annoying!

It's a very small black box.... check your speed!!! :D

I did once have to set a mouse trap in the car... Bugger was eating my sweets!!!

I'm sure you'll find similar stories on the web somewhere..

*gets coat*

Its been like this for over a week now.
Initially, when I tapped the glass, it kept runing back only to reappear few minuts later. Now, tapping doesnt do anything as it must have realised I cant get to him.

What concerns me, is that if the dash was to be stripped, the bloody thing will simply run back and hide. Then after it gets put back together, it will come back again plotting his web of deceit.

My only hope is, that after a while it will realise that it wont catch anything there and move elsewhere. Problem been, spiders can go without feeding for a long time, so I might need to put up with it for some time yet.

Drive to 160mph and hit it with the needle.

I think this is fantastic! I've always wanted an aquarium with tropical fish in my dash but a spider enclosure is really cool :-)

Common issue with exotic Italian convertibles I am led to believe.

I've got a spider in my right rear light cluster, and a fly in the left rear light cluster!!! I can't get them out, they've wandered into a part of the light not accessible from the bulb holes...

I have this mental image of the spider, dead, with its legs curled around the speedometer needle, being swung back and forth. FOREVER!:D

Funny you should say that...then again, I am not sure I can handle the G-factor, of accelerating 220 diesel giving the needle enough impact, to slice the creature in half at precisely 160mph.

Nice prospect though, lol :D

Thanks Pal :thumb:

You and me both actually.

You could always drill a hole and put a bigger spider in to eat it?.........
:D

I would not just be worrying about the spider.. But what is it finding to eat in there??
There's no flies on him... ;)

You tell me.

A spider on your speedometer?

Must be MB's new feature - Spidertronic .

I'm guessing optional...
