My car is a year 2000 E320 CDI 210 estate. I've sent my COMAND 2 to Maple Audio in Bath so they can repair the music CD laser reading error.
They don't add any external multiplayer connections. I'd considered an external C D multiplayer with traditional connection but there's not much room in the car for an external CD multiplayer so, I'm wondering if I can get myself a connection to play from, ideally an external S D card or otherwise, an external USB stick.
Can anyone suggest the best device on the market and where I can purchase it from?
Maybe the COMAND unit won't accept that kind of external connection. I've read about devices that can "trick the COMAND 2 unit into believing it is playing from an external C D multiplayer" but this might be pie in the sky.
Also, it may be that the COMAND 2 unit isn't compatible with anything other than an external C D multiplayer.
It might also be that my COMAND unit is the 2.5 but I reckon it is the 2 because it is identical with the image on Maple Audio's website.
I wanted to use the COMAND repair service often mention and shown on this club's site but, after I contacted them, they redirected me to Maple Audio.
Any help would be appreciated
