Use glove/s when filling up your machine

Living the dream in those days.

Not wrong.

We rang a local driving instructor about driving lessons for Daughter 1. 45 quid an hour !!!!! £uck me said the Wife, you should be doing that.
Daughter 1 replied, eeer have you actually met your Husband with his glowing personality and well known love of students, I really don't think so .........

"I say, Holmes, is that a trace of chocolate on that pump?"

"No; shit, Sherlock..."

(I thought UK petrol was of a high standard; maybe it's actually a bit crappy...)

They are always cleaning the pump and triggers at the Esso over the road from my work. Pretty much every public thing you touch with have germs/viruses/bacteria on it.....just helps strengthen your immune system....assuming you don't die from it of course!!! :D TBH I have better things to worry about!!!

Wouldn't worry about sh!t on my hand to much, look up the effects of fuel on your skin. Them station's don't want any claims against them.😇

How is it that shit gets all over the place? McDonald’s screens are another suspect area.

Who are these people wandering about with shit on their hands?

I hope it’s not me, I know about soap.

Just use the thin plastic gloves that are often available out of the top of the nearby bins at practically every fuel filling station?

If extra worried, carry a cheap box of disposable gloves in the boot for the odd occasion the garage has run out of free gloves?

Excellent - more single use plastic in the world, when it’s completely unnecessary!

Our skin is an impenetrable barrier to all things nasty and we do have an immune system.

I bet everyone orders a takeout once in a while? Delivery or Uber eats?
Have you ever seen the state of the delivery drivers/bags? They have no facilities available for their convenience stops, so most of them are handling your food with piss-hands.

Money/cash is often full of shit. I'm glad I'm almost 100% cashless ie use my cc to keep track of spending
Door handles, I always cringe at the thought of touching those, especially in supermarket toilets.

That reminds me, our local supermarket, they've closed the public toilets and put a 'baby changing room' in its place
and closed off the other areas. I guess it makes sense as they will save thousands every year - this happened a few weeks ago and I guess other supermarkets many follow the same path

As a farmer I've had a good laugh reading this thread! Christ, I've spent most of my life with shit, oil, grease, mud and other probably far more worrying substances on me with zero chance of hand washing the whole day. Not sure how I've survived.......

For many years I have kept work gloves in my trunk which I always put on when I fill petrol.
Don't like to put my hands on objects where other people place their filthy hands.

With door handles I always open doors with a piece of paper.

Some strange people loves to eat boogers or place them on objects, then you show up and put your hands where you shouldn't.

At the supermarket I always wear soft cotton gloves when I push the shopping cart or taking groceries from the shelves placing in the cart.
Never use a basket dragged on filthy shopping floors.

You wanna shake hands with a person who has the flu or just put their finger up their nose excavating a booger?
I'm allergic to odd people and filthy nazis!

Until about the 1980s medical and dental professionals didn’t use gloves…… and survived. That’s not just excrement but all sorts of bodily fluids!

There's a few closet snowflakes in this thread, I think...
I'm actually staggered by some of it. How do these people even eat? Do they realise how food is produced, or prepared in restaurants for that matter??

The shit they really need to worry about is actually on the ingredients list of their food.

How do they actually function with day to day life?

Thank you very much Howard Hughes......

Some people need to remember that the D in OCD is for disorder. I've yet to encounter a disorder worthy of celebration.

I’ve enjoyed several bouts of drunk and disorderly in the past, less so these days but fond memories. 🤣
