Vacuum Testing

Hi everyone,

I seem to remember someone on here had their car tested for vacuum leaks fairly recently by a company that specialised in carrying out that kind of work.

Am I imaginging things? My google-fu hasn't turned up anything.

I'm desperate to sort the central locking on my W202 :(

Dead easy to do this yourself. Unplug pipes at the joints and block them off, then apply vacuum either by the pump or by mouth.

Or, if you're keen on saving effort, get an empty propane or Freon or any other tank, plumb it up to your engine's vacuum, give it a few minute's running, and you have a large reservoir of low-pressure to do with what you will.

do not try this at home only in laboratory conditions due to possible implosion and further damge to the ozone layer and more global warming meaning more rain more rain and thrice more bloody rain
