Hi everyone, Just bought an E55 1998 Great car any way thinking of putting my private plate on it so just wondering is there any way of valuing the plate that’s on the car. C12 AMG
Thanks for any advice in advance :thumb:

I expect realistically a a few hundred quid? You could try eBay etc, might get some decent bids if there's some interested AMG owners (quite likely :))

Many of those plates were about £250.00 originally from the DVLA including VAT and the transfer fee.

Some of the number plate sellers would stick a plate like that up for a high price but they often take years to sell.

If it were mine, I'd try about £500 or so and then come down from there?

there are a few sites that sell reg numbers, elite reg, newreg, national numbers etc that will give you a valuation online, I agree with Will, they do mark them up and can take a long time to sell....they valued mine at £1945..... i dont think its worth it but going to let them have a go at selling it. Ebay good suggestion too,

Try searching for similar plates and see what there worth...http://www.newreg.co.uk/search/search_results/homepage/text/newSearch/none/none/C13-AMG/1/index.html
