Hi forum fellows,

I was wondering if someone has access to Mercedes Vedoc system, I need add two option codes to my W212 in order to active lane keeping and speed warning options. I have the hardware ready.

I know there is no free lunch, if you can do this for me, please kindly pm

or leave your contact, I can pay by paypal.

Once the modification done, I will share it to you guys.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Only MB dealers have access to Vedoc, option codes can be added by them but they may require proof that the options have been fitted/enabled especially if they did,nt carry them out.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply, the local MB dealer has very limited knowledge about this,

and they tried to add the option code in Xentry=>retrofit and modification

but it shows the dealer has no permission to modify Vedoc :(

that is reason why that I am seeking for help here.

Thanks anyway! :)

Hi Fellows,

I have just realized that I could not use PM function before 30 posts,

please kindly reply in this thread if you can kindly help.

Many thanks!

Ok, the rules are like this :-

All Mercedes dealers, and some independents with supported Star Diagnosis / Xentry equipment can request VeDOK updates. Certain Germany Mercedes dealers do this via the Diagnostic machine (Xentry/Star Diagnosis), others (like all of UK) do this via the main Mercedes branch (for UK, that is Mercedes in Milton Keynes).

BUT, there are some rules that they must follow or risk being punished, which is that they did the install (or certainly checked the install was done properly).

In Europe and North America law states that the diagnosis equipment must be made available to independents, and thus there are a few that know this process. However I don't know if the same is true in Taiwan.

BTW, I assume that if you are installing those options you have a new camera (which will need setting up with some special equipment), and the buzzer for the steering wheel, new switch pack with the wiring for it etc.

Cheers

Richard

Sir,

Thank you very much for your reply. I have better idea now about the Vedok update process. I guess Taiwan is the same as UK, only very few people in Mercedes head office has right to modify the Vedok.

for the lane keeping and speed warning options, I do have the the factory installed multi function camera, but I don't have the buzzer in steering wheel
and switch, I just want to see if I can have those options coded to my Car.
then do the necessary modification.

Thanks again for your kindly help, again if any one has the access and can

help the experiment, please kindly leave message, thanks in advance!
