My W220 LWB has ventilated rear seats. The N/S rear seat always has the ventilation running, the fan speed doesn't change no matter what stage the button in on. I only noticed because I was stationary with the radio off and I heard some fans, I thought it might have been the fridge but that was off. So I jumped into the back and listened carefully and the fans are running in that partiuclary seat all the time.

What controls the ventilated seats in the back?
Is there a control module in each rear door for each seat? The buttons light up blue all okay but it doesn't alter the fan speed at all.

Short of pulling out the fuse (think it was fuse 74) which will disable the electric rear seat adjustment, heater and ventilation is there anyway I can stop the fans going until I can work out how to fix this?

I have a feeling this won't be a DIY job.

Thanks in advance for any advice/help or tips.

Does anyone know the part number for the rear heated seat swtich with ventilation? My MB dealer can't find the part number and a price for it?

Any ideas?

I'm amazed they haven't got an automatic f**t detector which activates whenever someone 'lets one go' and exhausts it to the outside before offence is caused .

Seriously , if you can remove the switch , you could probably just pull the connector off the back of it for now , which ought to leave the ventilation fans permanently off ?

Thanks!

I will have a go at this, if only I could work out how the switch comes out, I think the door card needs to come off!
