Possibly, if you read Japanese and know who to contact. At least one importer of JDM cars provides documentation purporting to verify mileages, so the (private) seller may have something to prove it.
On a nearly twenty year old car, if it looks good and drives well it's probably OK; I suspect the Japanese probably service such a car by the book.
Who owns/drives a near 500hp car with tyres like that?
Or tries to sell one with tyres they bad and takes close up photos of them!
Regards the mileage - it’s difficult to be certain, but quite possible that there’s more risk with an import. As someone once said to me, the Japanese invented the digital mileage correction tools…
Could of course be genuine, but it’s still an import with funny shaped boot lid, wrong clocks and a dodgy radio!
The condition of the calipers, driver’s seat, headlights etc don’t seem quite as sharp as you’d expect from a 30k miler - Iooks no better than many I’ve seen with 3/4/5 times the miles.
Undoubtedly still a nice enough car I’m sure but the above might explain why it’s been for sale for so long if that’s the case.
From what i can see, the seller hasn't done justice in terms of preparation and replacing the tyres at least. The rear subframe and under carriage looks to be in sound condition, which I think is very important for a car of this age. If the subframe and undercarriage are good, your almost there to a half decent car.
The floor mats are wrong fitment, wrong shape and not the oem AMG ones which came with the car. They are now discontinued.
Overall good condition, once detailed it will look a million dollar but mileage is definitely questionable and given the mats have been changed, maybe showing signs of wear.
Lower section bootlid can be swapped out, including radio and dash. Plenty of breakers and auction sites for used parts.
Seller really needs to prepare the car including paperwork to support the mileage. Prices have shot up, including imported version too
