Vibration clonk then fine

Hi, new Mercedes owner.
Had car for around 6 months love the car.

Whent for an MOT a few days ago and passed but developed a fault.

The car will sound strange and vibrate prety much feels like the whole car. Then there will be a loud clunk and will sound and drive fine again. I'm thinking the sound is front passenger side ish.

When vibration is present it feels like its dragging.

Gearbox changes normally. vibration remains the same in neutral, park and in gear.

If anyone can shed some ideas I would appreciate it.

Broken engine or gearbox mounting?

front spring? Both of mine have gone in the past and it's not as obvious as you might expect

I only hope its something like this. Just that it will remain and drive in the 'funny' mode until theres a loud thud then all is well again

See if you hear any clunk when put in reverse?
Should be your gearbox mount going bad.

You could also have worn engine mounts or worn drop links giving you strange noise?
