Hi Neil, Didn't spot that about 30 posts, nearly there!
Just wanted as much information as I could get really, have purchased an SLK 200 2009 & will hopefully be picking it up next weekend

Put up the VIN at 8 am & I'll run the build spec. You have a short period of time (forget how much) in which you can edit it out if you wish.

Your VIN is visible on your vehicle to anyone walking past it, I wouldn't worry too much

Ah yes sorry, I should have gone to specsavers!

Agreed, according to EPC it should be on a '58 plate, unless it wasn't registered until after March the following year, in which case it sat around for 4 months somewhere

At a production date of 7/11/2008, it will be a 2009 model year car and by the time it was delivered to the UK and registered it would be a 2009 registration, even if it is on a 58 plate.

I just ran a check on mine and turns out my AMG bodykit and alloys are factory fitted, whereas I thought they were bought as aftermarket parts

I take it the 'delivery date' is the 'production date' then? If so then what you say makes sense.
