Viper Alarm 480xv has been installed into my vehicle. During the setup the alarm module was zapped by mistake, using the BitWriter. Now both the remotes are not communicating with the alarm.

When i follow the instructions to pair the key with the module, it doesnt work.

Remote Programming
1)Turn key to the ON position
2)Within 10 seconds, press and release Valet button one time.
3)Within 10 seconds, press and hold the Valet button.
The LED will flash one time and the horn honks (if connected) to
confirm entry into remote programming.
4)Press the lock button on the remote control.
5)The horn honks (if connected) to confirm the remote has been
programmed.
6) Release the Valet button, and turn the key to the Off position.
If connected, the horn sounds one long honk to confirm that remote
programming has been exited.

On Step 3 while i hold the valet button the alarm sits in a loop of 1 churp 2 churps and then 3 churps back to 1 and so on till i let go of the button.

At this stage when i press the lock button on remote nothing happens keeps looping

Any ideas?

Deprive the alarm of a power supply so as to reset it; this might require removal of any backup batteries for a few minutes.
Is there a reset button that reset the system anywhere on the alarm?
All wild guesses, don’t know anything about Vipers.

Thanks dec, i have disconnected to alarm for tonight i will test it tomorrow. No reset buttons at all. The zap on the bitwritter is the reset.
