Vito egr blanking ?

V220 egr delete

Hi everyone, on the picture for the egr delete is the pipe that is blocked with a bolt the one that goes in the back of the plastic tube that goes along the top of the engine?
I am wanting to do this mod to my 1999 V220.

Hi I've had loads of problems with the egr, so i decided to have it deleted from the ecu. engine light has gone but it still runs in limp mod! so im wondering if they have done the job correctly.
The egr is still fitted but in the off position and unplugged.
As well as deleting it from the ecu should the egr valve itself be physically removed and blanked off.?

On my car i suspect too much oil being sucked from the crank breather. It pools in the egr. And the only place to get oil in is from there before the turbo. I am thinking of making an oil catch can to reduce smoke out the back end.

Hi mate sorry to pick up an old thread but I can't pm... Don't suppose you ever got to the bottom of this? I have exactly this possible... New injectors, oil breather, fuel pressure sensor, egr blanked, carbon cleaned... Still oil in egr and black smoke out the back!! Garage have read live data and reckon all is fine. Help please anyone I'm out of ideas and money!!!!!
