Vito Sport 150 SWB not as ordered

Hi There,

I have taken delivery of a new Vito Sport 150, SWB Van. When i collected it we found that the steel bulk head was not fitted. The dealer is looking into it. But what i am trying to find out is :-

If the bulk head has not been fitted at the factory does this mean other options may also not have been done, that are required if you have a bulk head and wont be done if they install an after market one.

For example in my old Vito 111 SWB Van we had an alarm sensor in the load compartment along with 2 ultra sonic sensors in the roof console. These are not in the new van.

What do people think.

Bit of a blunder missing the bulkhead
The last thing you need is to be battered by the cargo in the event of an unfortunate incident.
Will an aftermarket be as good

Yes, One of many, dealer gave me the wrong reg number and didn't find out till i went to collect on the 1st. so didn't get van for 3 days, no bulk head, towbar or extra number plates, all of which where ordered months ago.

you've been fobbed off with a different van. probably a cancellation or something.

I don't think so, the van does have the 2 seats and the lock on the glove box which we ordered. But the ball is now in their court.

I ordered a sprinter with the alarm and it has the sensors fitted, have you run the datacard to see what option are incuded? PM me your Vin and I'll do it for you.

Thats unacceptable! I take it you had to change the insurance etc before you could take the van away and thats what took the 3 days? How long ago did you order this? It took 4 months for mine as it has a few options.

Doesn't the vito come with 2 single seats and you have to specify the double? Also my sprinter came with a locking glove box which wasn't spec'd - could it be that this too is standard?

Yes had to get new certificate.

It sound as though something has went wrong, could be your van went elsewhere!!! Does the VIN number on your order mathch the van you have?

I dont have a vin on my order. the only paperwork with a vin on matches the van one.

I had it before when I ordered a Vivaro and they put an aftermarket bulkhead in. It was no good as it didn't fit properly and road noise etc could be heard from the back. Also we carry chemicals and you could smell them as it wasn't a proper seal. I wouldn't accept nothing but the original bulkhead which I'm sure they will be able to do. I'll text my cousin who works for Mercedes commercial and see if he's done one before.

No they are looking into what they will do. I conatced them this morning and they are going to get back to me later on today.

Thanks for this. My original order is just a hand written form. Which we did when the dealer drove over to check the new vito would fit in the garage. I didn't get any other paper work until the 31st Aug 2010.
