Hi

I recieved a Vodafone 1605 the other day, but can't decide if I should keep it or not.

Which is the best phone / pda between the V1605 (Manufacturer name: TyTn), the Sony P990 or the HP IPAQ 6915.

Thanks

Tan

What do you use a phone for - just calling, or do you need email, calender, etc ?

Does Size Matter ?

Personally, I like the Ipaq.

You appear to have the same problem as me - addiction to gadgets. :-)

Best can only be determined when stacking up against your requirements and preferences.

By the way the TyTn is a model from HTC, not the manufacturer.

Hi Scott

You got me there... I am a gadget addict.

Regards the TyTn, I meant that the manufacturer call it TyTn where as vodafone call it V1605.

I've got the 1605 on T-Mobile (MDA Vario II). Only had it a few days, but really like it. Got it talking to my server via Remote Web Workplace and can access my CCTV cameras on the CCTV server.

Still finding things it can do. It's bigger than my last phone, but not excessively so. Don't know about the other products you mentioned, but this one gets a thumbs-up from me.

Does anyone know if the 1605 (TyTN) SIM Access Profile is compatible with the Merc Bluetooth module yet?
I have been considering this as my next phone because it has the SAP but I have seen on the xda-developers forum that it is not compatible yet but should be fixed soon.

Would be interested to know how the TyTn compares to the HTC Wizard / XDA Mini .. which I've had since January, and although its been pretty stable and usable, its beginning to get a bit slow, buggy, and annoying ! Build quality / finish is a little bit questionable as well.

If anybody has had both - please advise !

S.

thats the new version of the phone I have (the tytn)

Im happy - after being a staunch nokia dude - but once in a while it locks up a bit... dont really use it to its full potential.

had a 9500 - carp - the slidey phone rocks.
