Voice Command

Hello everyone I am new here. Just bought a late 2014 B class 180 sport (manual) very low miles and I am delighted. I have been poring over the books both paper and digital and am struggling for information on the voice command function, can anyone point me in the right direction. It seems I can only use it for destination input not making calls, is that right? It has the Becker nav system.

I’m not sure to be honest but I had a 2019 E Coupe and prior to that a 2016 E Class estate both had Command and you had to be very precise with the wording, for instance saying telephone xxxx would not work but using the wording call xxxx would work.

My latest car has MBUX which is way better.

Thanks for your thoughts, I have worked through it a bit more this afternoon and it is making more sense.

Congratulations on your new car. Glad to hear you’re delighted with it. Maybe post a few photos if possible.

Unfortunately you are correct. The voice button will only allow you to input a destination for the Sat Nav.

For all other voice inputs your car would need to have the full COMAND system.
