W124 300E cd radio adaptor?

Hi guys

I have a sony cd player fitted in mine, which is goosed, I am looking to replace this and wanted to know if any can advise if you can purchase the wiring loom adapters for these cars? obviously depending on what make model of unit i go for

Even if they do exist i wouldn't buy one until you've removed the current head unit and had a poke around... if it's anything like my 320te you'll find miles of scotchlock bodgery stuffed in the centre console from the various radios (and maybe phone kits) that have lived there over the years. I got lucky in that i found an iso 10487 connector hiding behind all the bodgery which is what i was planning to fit anyway. Less likely to find one of those on an earlier 124 unless someone else fitted it though

If you haven't got a multimeter to figure out what's what wiring wise then an owners manual for the current Sony (can download many of them) should give the wiring pin outs
