Hi guys,

Does anyone know any recommended audio shops that are located in London that can do audio rewiring?

My rear speakers seem to be dead and seeing that the car is from 1992, I'm sure some wires have deteriorated somewhere down the line, so looking to get them reworked and rewired.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,
Mat

What is it you want .Is it the radio repair? or speakers rebuilt? Or some one thats in to ice to wire you system up ? I have just had my speakers rebuilt in the front of my W124 260e took them out and i then sent them away for rebuild.

My wiring seems to be dead to the rear speakers, so I need re-wiring done, just wondering if anyone knows any recommended shops that do that?

Did you check the manual on the radio you may have the rears speakers muted .I would first remove the radio, and then take a look at its wire conector plugs.Make a speaker up to check output from each channel . Like you would with a circuit and test bulb.

Early W124s had a front-rear balance control on the centre console by the window switches. Often these are bypassed when a more powerful stereo is installed and I'd guess this is your problem

If the speakers in the rear are little 3" ones in the handle then they're factory-fit. If they are in the door card they are aftermarket

Most car stereo shops will rewire the rear speakers for you. They probably don't need rewiring but fault-finding is beyond the capabilities of most stereo installers
