They're not that expensive at a dealer. For peace of mind that you have a OE star, I would go there if originality is important.

Try your nearest car breaker/parts dismantler.
My bonnet star was stolen and yesterday my local Indy Mercedes Specialist fitted a 2nd hand one and only charged me a fiver:bannana:

£26 + vat I think at Mercedes of Doncaster. May eventually get one from there to be honest. Just seeing if someone wanted rid who knows what emblem fits what (you wouldn't believe the b*llocks people try spout on eBay)

I managed to source one through my mechanic mate who helped me with my recent front roll bar clunk issues. Seems his Uncle is a big Merc fan and recently scrapped a W124. So got it this morning, fiddled a bit with WD40 and some pliers - jobs a good 'un and the car no longer looks naked on the front
