Hi

Just a quick question...I have recently acquired a 1995, 111,000 miles E200TE that won't idle when cold...ie start up, immediately stall as soon as you come off the throttle etc etc etc. However, once warm, car will idle and behave as it should.

I'm assuming that its possibly a cold start valve or something along those lines...any thoughts?

Many thanks

Don't think the M111 has got a cold start valve.

So maybe a faulty temperature sensor or dodgy wiring (insulation breakdown -> short circuit) somewhere?

I think job #1 on any 200 or 220 is clean the throttle body. It seems to be a common cause of problems on them
