Hi All,

Noticed a leak from a black hose with red stripe near the battery, looks like ill need a couple of o-rings to clamp it on.

Does anyone know what the components for?

What's leaking out of it? AFAIK that pipework is for vacuum

Thanks for the quick reply,

i thought its maybe hydrolic fluid, its wet and now im scared, if it suppose to be vacumn pipe.

ill clean it up and see how much liquids leaking.

regards.

that is the vacuum control to perform the gearbox program selection function (the S/E switch on the selector). if there is oil inside it must be gearbox oil from a split diaphragm. disconnect the pipe to see if there IS oil inside.

I disconnected it earlier and the pipes amply lubricated with fluid.

wheres this diaphram thats split?

regards

on your gearbox!! didn't you have some gearbox problems? the vacuum is on the o/s of the box. the one on the n/s is for manifold vac modulation. i guess the oil is red?

i had the torque convertor replaced recently and ive currently got no 5th ,
im intending to do test for the 5th as discussed in another thread.

ill have to clean it up and see if its red and also to see if its fresh or pre repair leakage.

thanks for the heads up.
