W215 CL65 AMG & W124 E500
Hello all

A few weeks ago I got a W124 E500. I have been looking since while and this one was just the 'one' it is in outstanding condition. Pic of it beside my W215 CL65 AMG. When I get a chance I will upload some more photos. Cheers

I have to say I think the Carcoon is great. I have that one about 3 years and it definitely does the job. If you are getting one I would get the framed one that I have as it is the only way to go if you want easy access for getting use of the car. I will be getting another one shortly for the E500!

A stunning car. Well done. As Dash says. Give the ambers a try. I think they keep the period look on the car. But it is your car (jealous rage building here) enjoy it.

Not sure......I think they look at lot better this way

It's a personal choice really but I prefer amber,it really brings out the dark colours

Pre-facelift (large grille) = Amber

Facelift (small grille) = Clear

Thems is the rules. :dk:

Nice car all the same. :)

That's what I thought- started to doubt myself when 'ambers' was mentioned. As someone else said it really all personal choice - either with or without I am chuffed with this car dde00There are a few other changes to the car which would not be period to the car e.g steering wheel, Porsche front brake callipers, wheels, brabus exhaust etc but I think they suit it nicely. All this had been done before I bought it but I think I will just be leaving it as it is

I wish I could make these meets but unfortunately I am in Northern Ireland so not just as simple as driving up the road. But I do plan to make it over some stage in the future to a few meets if I can juggle work also. I would like to take the E500 to one and the CL65 to another!
