Hi All,

Does anyone have an old W124 electric Aerial from around 1990?

I need the internals - the electrics/ motor is fine on mine, but I need the large plastic gear inside the Aerial housing that drives the extention and retraction of the aerial. It is composed of two halves held together with a circlip on the spindle. The plastic internal lug that retains the return spring has snapped on mine. It's the only part I need so I can listen in comfort to my original LW/ MW/ FM radio. A non-working motor isn't important.

Thanks

Dante

Might do dad is breaking a few merc's at the moment will have a look at the weekend.....

Cheers

That plastic pin is the bit that usually fails when the antenna siezes. So you won't find one except on a working aerial

You can replace the pin with a cut-down nut & bolt

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the suggestion: My aeriel wasn't seized, so i guess it must just be through 20 years of use. I'd rather do the job properly, so will try the nut and bolt if I don't have any luck with a replacement.
