My pal James is breaking a W124 estate ( the car is in Ardrossan ) . It was 'T-Boned' in the passenger side at a crossroads by a woman in a Clio who came through a red light .
Apart from the accident damage , the rest of the car is in good condition .
Renfrew motor spares have , co-incidentally , another W124 estate ( diamond Blue 230TE ) which was accident damaged on the drivers side , so between the two cars there should be any panels you want . That yard also has a couple of 190's - a 190 1.8 on a K plate in light metallic green , bodily in very god condition , no accident damage , presumably either scrappage or MOT failure ( nothing taken off when I saw it on Monday) , likewise an 040 Black 190E with unmarked panels , but engine & gearbox removed ; also a couple of W202's .
There's another yard : Muirhead Auto Spares which had an almandine red E220 estate ( W124 ) with one front wing and the wheels removed when I saw it a couple of weeks back - they also have LOTS of 190's and W202's .
Finally , I was down at Shewalton autobreakers ( Irvine ) the other day getting parts off a W126 and they had a W124 300CE just in on a J plate , Signal Red with Mushroom leather , no accident damage but the wheels had gone , also a few 190's and W124 saloons .
Which part of Scotland are you in ?
