W124 Front passenger air vent removal

if you look closley at the vent, on each corner you will see four clips.

These clips need to be prised upwards from the bottom and downwards from the top!

does that make sense? lol

you will see what i mean when you pay attention to the assembly.

you will need a strong hook type tool to do this though.

i found using dash cluster pullers worked best. its a proper mb tool, but you can make a homemade one.

coat hangers unfortunately dont do the trick.

jiggle the vent out, usually a side at a time, because i dont think we have four hands:dk:

once one side is out of its seat, the other side can be worked on.

the unit will come out as a whole, you will see the bulb holder which you unclip to reveal the bulb.:thumb:

Thanks this will be useful to me also as the air vent is broken and I want to replace it.

I think I have a blown bulb on the driver's side vent.

Can anyone confirm the part number or bulb type I need for the vent?

Thanks
