Hi all,
I've been adding heated seats recently and have just come round to adding back my new trim piece complete with the two switches.

The trim piece doesn't seem to want to go in though, on closer inspection it seems there are a couple of 1cm long lips on either side at the end where it hooks under the ashtray.

Obviously not a problem for me to quickly remove these, preferably with cracking the walnut, just wondered if anyone knew why there was 2 different fitting trim pieces ?
Mine is a facelift coupe, I can't however see that having anything to do with interior trim ?

I had the same issue when I did mine. Also I had trouble because the plastic surround around window switches was different on the new trim so I had to change it over from the old one. Mine is pre-facelift maybe the switch holder changed during facelift? :dk:

As you have found, there are two different types

thanks mate, how did you manage to get plastic surround out without damaging the wood? Would it just be a case of prising out those staples and glueing the old one down?
Cheers
