My mates 1994 W124 E320 Coupe's instrument and center console (heating and a/c, electric window switches) lights have all gone out, all at the same time.
I thought it was a fuse, so checked fuse box. All fuses are fine.
Before the lights went, Colin (my mate) had been frequently twiddling the small round rotary cylindrical thing (this also is the dimmer for the instrument lights) to reset the trip meter (this sometimes sticks) . So I reckon that the resistor for the instrument illumination is gone. Could it be anything else?
If it is that resistor, how easy is it to change? Is it a instrument cluster out job?
Thanks mucho in advance,
SEAN
