W124 panel under washer bottle

My new W124 coupe has some rust under the washer bottle, what is the best way of repairing, can it be replaced easily?

I cut the rust out and welded a patch in, then a good dollop of paint applied with a brush so its nice and thick. I ommitted the drain hole as I reckon it will outlast the rest of the car,I also put new seals on the washer bottle

Very common spot to go. Check the other side under the ABS thingy. Often find the same issue. Its not structural so a patch repair will be fine.

I had exactly the same area succumb to rust, too.
Likewise, under the ABS unit.

My remedy was the aforementioned cut, weld and paint as completed by my Indy.

If you're going to have any welding done, disconnect the battery to protect the ecu's. Better safe than sorry.
