W124 TE rear headrest removal

D'oh, the guy I bought my car from put one of the head rests in the wrong holes on the back seat, effectively between the outer and inner head rest position using one hole from each to mount a headrest.

Not a problem thought I, I'll swap that to the right place in a jiffy!

Wrong!

It will not budge because, I assume, the support with the notch in the bottom of it is in the hole for a support with no notch, and I assume it is catching.

Any ideas on how to get the bloody thing out?

Thanks a lot!

Assuming of the 6 holes your headrest is in holes 2 & 3 from the outside of the car, can you put one leg of another headrest in hole 4 (or 1) and push down the little button thus releasing the stuck item i.e hole 3? Or perhaps a screwdriver with a shaft of similar diameter.
Cheers
Eddie

Thats a good idea, I'll give it a go, thanks!
