Hello,

Does anyone know the wheels bolts required to fit on 15" SLK light weight wheels ("toliman") on a w124?

Please help.

Thanks:thumb:

You want Bolt Pack 1 from here:

Packs of Wheel Nuts and Wheel Bolts from Alloy Wheels Direct

Set of 20 bolts (5 per wheel for 4 wheels) RAD part number: 4143 Shaft Length/mm: 39 Thread pitch: M12x1.5 Drive type: 17mm Seat type: 12mm radius Fitment: Mercedes 107/124/126/129/168/170/171/201/202 203/208/209/210/414

Note:
I am fairly certain you want Bolt Pack 1 because that is the same kit for both the 124 and the SLK (You are lucky !)

Hey!

Thank you very much for the awesome help :thumb:

So, it is 100% sure that those lug bolts will neither be too long nor too short ?

The price is quite steeeeep though! :wallbash:

Best regards

I think you should phone them..
Be aware that the Bolts they sell are much more rust resistant than the Mercedes ones (That wouldn't be hard)..
I am as sure as I can be that those would be fine for your car..

If there is an issue with length then it is usually to do with the back wheels..
If the bolts ARE too long then they will foul the brake shoes within the drums (Hand brake shoes)..
Phone them.. They are VERY knowledgeable.

I just contacted them and they recommend me this lug bolt size:

Set of 16 bolts and 4 locking bolts (5 per wheel for 4 wheels) RAD part number: 4021 RAD Locking Bolt part number: 2021 Shaft Length/mm: 20 Thread pitch: M12x1.5 Drive type: 17mm Seat type: 12mm radius Fitment: Mercedes Steel wheels on M12 hub threaded cars, plus B66471335 for R171 SLK and B66470521/B66470508 for R170 SLK

Any suggestions?

You asked what a lockable bolt looks like..
Here is my old and rusty one..

Hehe!

Looks really rusty! I think I better buy the normal ones!

Thanks! :thumb:

That's a Mercedes bolt..
Seriously that's one thing that Mercedes don't do very well.. The wheel bolts are terrible for rusting.
That's why I suggested the RAD ones from the company in my earlier post to you.:thumb:

I have the RAD bolts on my 124. Much better than the MB ones on the other cars. No corrosion of any sort so far on the RAD bolts.
