The windscreen on our S124 was replaced some years ago by a fast fit windscreen company but that windscreen is now in need of replacement, but the windscreen pillars, particularly the o/s pillar have large rust blisters on the fronts and it has been suggested that there will be large rusty holes when the old windscreen and its sealant are removed.
The car is otherwise a mostly one owner example with an invoiced full service history and solid body with a clean and tidy interior, although 200k miles.
Is it possible / safe / viable to weld new metal into these pillars? The insides seem to be free from any rust, so, just the outer skin is rotten.
