W124 with m104, no power at all adove 6k

I know that the eco wire harness came with the 320e & 280e m104 & other engines as well, but maybe it could happen that my 300ce 24 had those eco junks wires... maybe for the japanese specs or something like that.

I want to make sure i have to replace my wire harness before i spend about 2 grand on a new one.

Extremely unlikely as the wiring loom for the 300--24v engine is completely different from the later 280/320 engines due to a completely different injection and ignition system. That doesn't mean you might not have a localised wiring problem unique to your car = bad /corroded connector , wiring broken or frayed by vibration or " fretting" against something or wiring running over something hot. But it will a localised problem not one requiring a completely new loom! Many problems on older cars can be traced to poor WIRING EARTHS due to corrosion at their body anchorage points- worth checking.

Bio degradable harness came in late 1992 and went through to 1995

Many thanks I been looking for that diagram!

That is the 4/5 microswitch I mentioned. Gave me years of instability and error codes before I changed it.

Yes, but i did check that switch & it was working fine, however the contact wasn't & i didn't notice it.

This doesnt sound like a wiring loom issue at all, thats always MB Dealers answer to any M104 related problems as its big money and labour for them. If yours is a 91' 300-24V then you must have the one without the CATs.

I have a feeling it could be to do with your fuel distributor, probably needs an overhaul. I know some people who have rebuilt theirs and they have noticed a big improvement in idling, better power and better fuel economy. Have a look into that and take it from there.

Or you could just eliminate all issues by having the whole thing converted to full EFI...BIG difference!

I think he is suggesting removing the existing injection system and replacing it with an alternative after market system. However this is normally done by people looking for extra power, costs quite a lot and takes experience/expertise to set up correctly.

Yes its quite a big job to get it converted to a full electronic fuel injection system, but it has many advantages for the long term over the CIS-E.

However, look into the fuel distributor as I suspect that might be your issue.
