Need to replace the joints at the chassis end of the guide/brake tube - anyone know if it can be done in situ, or do you have to remove half the suspension to get the thing out?

I've already sussed that I should measure it before taking it apart...

Remove the guide rod mount assembly from the body off the car and and do the mount from the guide rod so that you can press the bench and clean up the mount with a wire brush as it may have a little surface rust on the inside.

When you're ready to put it back together, install the assembly first and then press the guide rod mount into it using longer bolts than the ones provided. I found that old flex disc bolts work well for this as they are the right size, thread and length.

Not a difficult job using this method.

Make sure you get an alignment when done.
