W126 mercedes 560 sel

A lot of car for precious little money and a very fine engine indeed. If i needed one, i'd have it.

a friend of mine owned a mercedes dealership from 1989 to 2002 and he remembers speccing a 560 sel with velour trim but with all the trimmings for a customer of his and it amounted to around £110,000 back in 1990!!!

I have just bought a one owner 560 SEL from the gentleman that originally paid over £500,000 for it. That price included a lot of very high rate import duty. He ordered it in the UK and then shipped it straight to his home in Asia. It's got the velour upholstry and the two single (not the bench) individual reclining seats in the back. Unfortunately his chauffer hasn't kept the interior in the cleanest of order and I will need to get a couple of the velour wear and tear pieces repaired/replaced, but not a spot of rust on it. Cost me just over £8,000 (yes eight thousand pounds)

Wonder where to get some 100% matching velour from?

I asked for extra pictures of the car, door bottoms etc and there was rust on all of them, I was seriously considering it and spoke to the owner who was very halpful, but the costs of getting all the rust gone would have been too much, chrome was rusty on the bumper too in parts. Hope the new owner has deep pockets and it will be a lovely car.
