W140 Blower/Regulator

Hello,

I was lucky enough to get a hand me down of a 1994 W140 this weekend - in great condition bar the blower fan/regulator - nothing happens when I turn the dial and I am looking to get a new/salvaged blower and regulator. Does anybody know the part numbers for these?

Hoping somebody can help.

The problem may be with the heater/aircon controls of course.

It's worth checking the regulator first, as they do have a reputation for going belly up, although if there is no motor movement at all, I would suspect the blower motor itself. There was a problem with water ingress on the W140 model IIRC.

New blower motors are expensive.

I have a friend going to diagnose what is wrong and what i need next week.
Ian Walker - when you say you have a W140 going for spares are you breaking it or selling it as a whole unit?
If you are breaking it do you have a working blower and regulator?

Excellent Ian - I have car booked in for diagnostic next wednesday to ensure it is those parts that are causing problem - I will be back onto you when I know the prognosis - would rather throw business your way than a big breakers yard or worse an over priced garage.
