Hi all,
I hope all is well?
The other morning, the heater fan inside the car decided to stop working. i.e. no air would circulate from the vents.
On closer inspection, I noticed the main engine fan was not working either.![Crazy  ](/styles/mbclub/smilies/crazy.gif)
I checked the fuses and found fuse 10 (40A) to be blown. I thought brilliant, here we go. I replaced the fuse and the heater fan worked a treat!![Thumb :thumb: :thumb:](/styles/mbclub/smilies/thumb.gif)
However, the engine fan was still not coming on when either the A/C was on or when the engine was up to temperature. Upon driving the vehicle, I noticed the car was restricting the speed and the accelerator feels like there is a reasonable about of resistance.
Upon reading EPC it says the fan assists the automatic transmission. I can only presume the car is in safe mode as it doesn't want me to damage the gearbox. Either a sensor or loose/ corroded/ broken wire is my only explanation. To make clear, the vehicle does not overheat.
I would like to check the relays, however the Mercedes relay description is pathetic and I don't want to cause any damage, if my efforts wouldn't even identify the correct relay for the circuit.
Here is the link to Bert Rowe's page that I have been using:

Thanks
