W202 C200 Rough idle/No throttle

Hi Guys,

I have a 98 C200 Manual, it has had the battery disconnected for a while and now It is reluctant to start, idle and rev. i have replaced the MAF, throttle body, plugs, coils, coolant temp sensor, fuel filter, crank sensor, fuel rail and pressure regulator, throttle position sensor and cannot fathom what the problem is.

once the car idles after a few failed turns over, it will back fire through inlet and then settle to a 1k idle, when i touch the accelerator the revs die and car cuts out. any advice is appreciated.

Is the MAF definitely good, if so, suspect an air leak into the intake manifold.

Yep agree with the above sounds like an air leak, see if you have anyone local that can run a smoke test, to save you spending more money

Can't help feeling maf problem,what does it run like disconnected?

Thanks for the replies guys, but its getting weighed in. Went and bought a C180 Auto, not black, not manual but drives!
