Hi guys

Quick question as the lamp in my clock has decided to blow - one light I can not ignore !

Do ALL the lamps come on with the first turn of the key ? SRS/Lamp Failure etc ?

Just considering what lamps I will need.

Thanks !

Chris

they should go on when you put the ignition onto its the second stage just before you turn the key 2 start the car

ok when you open the car from key phob

the outside temp and miles and time three screens should light if its a face lift w202

once key is in the barrel and turned to full position 2 it will light up all lights on dash

is a bulb has gone then the cluster should be removed a easy job if you do not have tool to remove then remove bottom panel below steering wheel and bush from back to remove it

the bulbs for the clocks are 1.2 watt
and the indicator bulbs for the lights ,engine , oil ect are 2 watt and blue plastic cap
the clock bulb is this one

their are two 5 watt also

pre 98 cars have 2 big bulbs (2W each), the rest are 1.2w with blue base. On 98 ones all bulbs are 1.5w, beige base. Only lights of equipments fitted to the car will light up. Only earlier cars (93-95) all lights do light up, even on vacant slots, before starting the car.
