I'm going to get the rear and front bumpers painted

How hard would it be to fit parking sensors too the bumpers
Their are some nice Pre painted kits on eBay for sale
Has any one done this before or looked into doing it

Any help welcome

Thx

Easy job :) although every thing is easier with the right tools, just make sure the measurements are correct, and in a straight line, use masking tape before you start drilling, or you could ask who is painting them, to drill it first :)

Hi,
I was going to fit aftermarket parking sensors to my 230k (still might one day), I was going to make them as OEM as possible by fitting front as well as rear, making the front only come on at speeds of less than 5ish mph, with front and rear displays too, I had identified the kit that best suited my needs, though a speed relay for switching on the front set I had,nt identified, take a look at this kit, you could dash mount the front display in the OEM position, and hang the rear one from the roof so when you look in the rear view mirror you can see the display, again the OEM position, you could even put an OEM switch in circuit, to turn them off and mount the switch in the OEM position. To be honest it would probably be better as the OEM sensors don,t look much.

Looks very good that kit I think I'll have one of them can you take pictures of the OME locations of displays in your car please

And the distance between each sensor front and rear pictures would. Be great

Hi,
OEM PDC has six sensors on the front and six on the rear, unlike the kit I put up with only four front and rear, I,ll take some pics for you but the sensors on the side of the bumpers in the OEM fit I think you could lose just putting yours on the front faces of the bumpers.
The OEM rear display is actually in the 3rd brake light and the front actually has two displays one on top centre of the dash and the other just to the right of the cluster, if i can I will take some pics for you tommorrow and post them up for you.

Hi,
Here are some pics of the OEM display for PDC on a 202, do you still want some of the sensor positions or are you happy with the description of the positions?
