Hi guys,

I bought some 16 rims for my W202 and was today to put them on. The rear rims was fitted ok but the front ones had some problem. The problem is that on the front I can't put the center caps on, cos the black thing I've circled doesn't let them to fit. Can something be done for this?

This is the problem on the front:

And this is how it looks on the rear:

Thanks for the help!

Those look like ML rims to me - I expect the offset to too large (so very not enough thickness of wheel on the outside to allow the cap to fit). Do the wheels look really tucked into the arches? (Instead of being close to the edge of the arch at the front and a little inset at the rear?)

EDIT: If they ML 16*8J - they have a massive 62mm offset vs 31ish for std sport pettern 8Js I have the rear of mine. Which means the wheel will be inset about 30mm - would explain those pics. Solution - new wheels or 30mm spaces and longers bolts

Nope, the wheels looks normal :-S I think I'll contact the person who sold these to me and gonna give them back and reclaim my money. Then I'll buy new ones. Cos on some other forums members are saying these are not MB rims at all :-/

Just check the back of the wheel for a part number.
As stevesy says they don't have enough metal to fit.

Hi guys, I found out that these are in fact factory rims but for ML Mercedes and their offset are 6,5. So I think it means they can't be fit on a W202. So I'm going to give them back and try to buy new ones that fits my W202. Thanks to everyone for trying to help me!

BTW your frony discs are badly lipped. they need replacing soon.

Do you mean front disc? Maybe it's only the dust you see there? Can you show me which part did you think of?
Sorry for such questions but I'm a total noob. This is my first car :o

The flat shiney part of the disc wears out. The lip is on the inner edge on your brake disc. The lip on yor equates to alot of wear.

The discs an C180's are only thin and can warp easily if not changed whn worn out. When they warp you get pedal pulsing.

Thank you for the answer BlackC55!
