Is Gib your location i.e. live or are you stationed there?

There are a few places who may be able to help you with the parts to upgrade your car, again it won't be cheap but prices are preferable than New parts. At a guess You will need the rear door wiring looms, console switches, Window actuators. But I have never done a conversion on a Mercedes, I have on other cars so I can't tell you exactly what you need for this particular car. I assume the car looms are modular but I suspect there is allot of work required to convert your car!

Have a look at this thread:-http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58324

And for the parts:- http://www.mercman.net/ and http://www.dronsfields.com/

Might be easier/cheaper to sell the C180 and buy another... the price difference between a W202 with electric windows all around and without shouldn't be massive on a second-hand car... assuming you have a W202 or W203 of course!

If not, a breaker might be your best bet... off the top of my head, you're looking at:

    - Wiring loom
    - buttons (front/rear)
    - new button surround with extra holes
    - door cards
    - motor/actuators etc

For the hand-rest, that's not too hard; but it is a sought after mod, which makes the parts fairly hard (and expensive) to come by!

I have thought about this mod on my C230K i was just gonna get 2nd hand switches, motors and regulators, and buy a new loom which is still available new. pt. no. A2025402613 (£150ish), but i think now i would find a doner car like others have said.
The Gibraltar MB dealer was where my C43 was bought from.

What year is your car? Bear in mind this is much easier to do on a 94-95 prefacelift car with the square switches as the window motors and switches are all separate units. The later cars came with the switches attached to the same circuit board.

I dont know about you guys but i used to have rear electric windows on my old 202 and people sitting in the back used to just play with them all the time and eventually ruin the mechanism. I'm so glad my current 202 doesn't have rear electric windows - one less thing to worry about.
