Hi, - My CDI 220 (05) is currenty doing about 350 miles on £60 of
Diesel. I had hoped that I would do more than this (say around 400 miles). My driving unfortunately is mainly town and duel carriageways. Does 350 sound about right or are others of you getting better than this?
Feedback would be appreciated.

So that's 350 miles for £60, or at £1.30/L that's 46L=10 gallons which gives 35mpg.

35mpg is in the right ball park for urban driving of a C220 CDI.

350 miles sounds OK for urban type driving, about the same as me. However, on the motorway I can go from Glasgow to the bottom of Cornwall, approx 550 miles and still have quarter of a tank left. If you really want to stretch it out, a lot more is possible.

Thanks - was 550 on £60 or a full tank?

68mpg in meduim sized saloon is 23rd century motoring!
I don't understand the need for all this hybrid/electric nonsense when these free -motoring figures are achievable

68 MPG is amazing - best I have got is 55MPG

I have an estate and get about the same, 350 miles between fill ups. Mine's an auto which takes about 25% more fuel IMHO.

P.S. I been to Cornwall too but can't get near that CLK220 figure. Can't remember exact figures but the 350 climbs to about 450, that's fully loaded with a roof box, using AC and cruise control.

Last spring I did 485 miles on 55L of fuel, (to refill the tank) that works out at just over 40 mpg, fully loaded, averaging 56MPH.

68mpg out of a C220 CDi??? Hmmm very unlikely even if you drive like a granny!

If you're reading off the OBD then even more reason not to believe it!

Just to clarify, is there supposed to be a ø next to the figure shown if it is an average?

Looking at the picture I would say that is 'real time' and also it is after 12miles and 9 minutes??

I got 68.4 mpg out of a manual Skoda Fabia VRS diesel from Cannock to Frome and that was at just under 60mph, no ac and no cruise on a weekend evening motorway run.

Not sure about MB OBC displays as mine doesn't have mpg...

35mpg is in the right ball park for urban driving of a C220 CDI.

My daughter's only getting that in her 1.2 Seat Ibiza.

I can nurse mine up towards 40MPG as long as it's a reasonable length (urban) run, but it takes about 20 miles for the engine to warm through.

I did 120 miles coming up the M6/M74 with 3 people on board and a full boot on saturday at night in the rain with the AC on wipers Idrive and headlights with the cruise set at 80mph and used 1/8th of a tank. 70ish mpg :) cannie beat it. The skinny 205 winter tyres are doing wonders for the MPG tho :o

68 is really decent for the 150bhp 220 CDI engine tho :0 well done.

mix of round the doors and motorway.

it's been remapped by angel tuning mind
You say you get 60mpg
Is that what the computer tells you or is that from tank to tank fill ups and your own working out ?
