W203 Armrest Cover

Ive spent another hour today and i cant figure out how to remove the armrest in my w203 ,its just the plastic covered top i need to remove so i can have it covered in leather .there must be someone who can help on here

i know how to remove the entire centre console , not sure about the armrest on its own tho.

Is it hindged on the rear or the side?

Unclip the soft lip that runs around the inside edge of the lower section at the very top.

Then poke a screw driver in the holes at the * rear * inside * vertical panel in the * lower section

Wobble and pull up as you unclip. The top half must be vertical / open.

This should release the little fingers that mesh into the alignment grooves. They are very tight clips and its not fun at all. You may find that the rear vent cover gets in the way.

ITS ANNOYING !
