Hi all,
My w203's wipers don't seem to automatically sense rain, as one might reasonably expect rain-sensing wipers to do.
Some very quick testing showed that:
If left in the I position (the first one that's not off), and then the engine started, the wipers won't move until water is dumped over the sensor in the windscreen.
Once the sensors have decided to move the wipers, there's no change in behaviour (i.e. they keep intermittently wiping) regardless of what happens, and whether there's water or not, unless the engine is turned off, or I manually switch to II or III (which obviously isn't regulated by the sensor).
No amount of rain will make the sensors move the wipers any faster than intermittently when the switch is in the I position.
So my brief testing seems to suggest that the sensor does *something*, but nothing terribly useful.
Anyone got any ideas?
